The Malleus Maleficarum: which edition to buy
The Malleus Maleficarum, written by the Dominican inquisitor Heinrich Kramer and first printed in 1486 or 1487, was the most notorious witch-hunting manual of early modern Europe. Nearly every low-cost English edition reprints the 1928 translation by Montague Summers.

How to choose
For an accurate text, choose Christopher S. Mackay's translation from Cambridge University Press: complete, annotated and made from the original Latin.
Summers' translation is readable and easy to find, but read his introduction with care: Summers believed in the reality of witchcraft and wrote sympathetically about the inquisitors.
Some editions are abridged or modernised. Check the page count; the complete text runs to several hundred pages.
