Records of the Salem Witch-Hunt

Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Good, with the caveats above.

Added this to my reference shelf. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. A few pages arrived with light corner wear, though nothing serious. Recommended with reservations.

Exactly what I was looking for. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. Glad I finally picked this up.

My third book from this store and this one might be the best. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. The font runs small in the appendices. Solid, if not essential.

Finally got around to ordering this. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Solid, if not essential.

This edition finally does the material justice. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. Already eyeing my next order.

Placed on our witchcraft and esoteric history shelves, this volume represents pure primary documentation rather than a narrative overview or introductory text. The edition's own provided description is exceptionally sparse, leaving the reader to engage directly with raw historical transcriptions. Consequently, it is strictly unsuited for casual readers seeking modern popular history, introductory Wiccan practice, or dramatic retellings of the Salem events. The dense primary-source formatting and academic rigor present a steep barrier for general audiences. However, for serious researchers and historians who demand unmediated access to archival evidence, it offers an authoritative, indispensable reference for studying early modern witchcraft trials.
