⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
This ethnography provides a rigorous, albeit dense, examination of modern Aztec spirituality through decades of fieldwork. While it offers unparalleled insights into the 'underworld' of contemporary magic, readers seeking light entertainment or accessible folklore will likely find it dry and academic. It is not suitable for those wishing to learn spells or rituals directly; rather, it is for scholars and serious practitioners analyzing the structural integrity of living religions. The narrative prioritizes anthropological depth over mystical allure, making it a challenging but rewarding resource for understanding the intellectual framework behind these enduring traditions.
