Added this to my reference shelf. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Solid, if not essential.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
