Lexington, Bedford, and Concord: Ghosts, Legends, and Lore

E Ashley Rooney provides a captivating tour through the spectral secrets of three pivotal Massachusetts towns. The narrative effectively weaves together Revolutionary echoes and local lore, offering fresh perspectives on well-trodden historical ground. However, readers seeking rigorous academic historiography or dry, factual accounts will likely find this work too speculative and legend-focused. It is not for those who demand strict adherence to documented history without the embellishment of ghost stories. Instead, it caters to those willing to embrace the mysterious and unexplained phenomena that linger in places like North Bridge. The approach is accessible and engaging, though it may disappoint purists looking for purely empirical analysis of the era's events.

It serves as an engaging guide for anyone seeking to understand the supernatural heartbeat hidden within America's past, making it ideal for travelers planning to visit Munroe Tavern or Colonial Inn with a sense of wonder.
