About the author
E Ashley Rooney is the author of a series of regional "Legends and Lore" and ghost-story collections published by Schiffer Publishing between 2008 and 2013. Titles such as Ireland's Ghosts, Legends, and Lore, Scottish Ghosts: Legends and Lore, and Empire State Ghosts: New York Legends and Lore pair local and national history with collected ghost tales tied to specific battles, buildings, and figures, from pre-Revolutionary New York to the haunted castles of Scotland. Others, including Campfire Tales New England and Haunted London, gather shorter anecdotal stories meant for casual or seasonal reading. The books share a format across regions: brief historical framing followed by named locations and reported apparitions, aimed at readers interested in folklore and local history rather than at scholars of the occult. Together they cover Ireland, Scotland, England, and several parts of the northeastern United States.
