This edition finally does the material justice. A text you study rather than simply read. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Good, with the caveats above.
As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Deserves a place on any esoteric bookshelf.
This has been on my wishlist for months. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. Solid, if not essential.
I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Five stars from me.
I keep coming back to this one. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. Recommended if you're ready to do the work.
I collect works on this subject and this is a worthy addition. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. The font runs small in the appendices. Good, with the caveats above.
