⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Sturgess presents a bold thesis linking the Marseille Tarot to Cathar Gnosticism, offering a unique perspective on the cards' origins. While the decoding of the Major Arcana as a consciousness blueprint is intriguing, it requires an open mind regarding historical interpretation. This book does not suit readers who prefer traditional divinatory meanings or those skeptical of alternative spiritual histories. It may also disappoint academics seeking rigorous archival evidence over esoteric speculation. However, for those willing to accept its premise, it provides a fascinating, albeit unconventional, lens through which to view the Tarot as a tool for enlightenment rather than prediction.
