Took a chance on this and glad I did. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Was skeptical at first. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. A few pages arrived with light corner wear, though nothing serious.
This edition finally does the material justice. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. Would buy from this store again.
I collect works on this subject and this is a worthy addition. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Already eyeing my next order.
