Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. Happy enough with the purchase.
This edition finally does the material justice. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. The font runs small in the appendices. Happy enough with the purchase.
Needed this for my research. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. A keeper.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. Not a light read, but far more accessible than I feared. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
