Corpus Hermeticum Editions and Translations

The Corpus Hermeticum comprises a collection of Greek texts dating from the second and third centuries CE, attributed to the legendary figure Hermes Trismegistus. This significant body of work gained widespread influence in the West after Marsilio Ficino translated it into Latin in 1471. His translation played a crucial role in shaping Renaissance Hermeticism, establishing these writings as foundational texts for later philosophical and mystical traditions. This collection features twenty-five distinct books exploring these ancient teachings. Buyers will find various scholarly editions and translations that present the original Greek content alongside modern interpretations. These volumes offer direct access to the core philosophical discussions attributed to Hermes Trismegistus. The selection includes critical texts necessary for understanding the historical development of Hermetic thought during the Renaissance and its enduring impact on Western esotericism.
