My third book from this store and this one might be the best. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. One of my better finds this year.
As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. Every rereading turns up something I missed. You can tell why this work has endured. A keeper.
Arrived faster than expected and well packaged. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. One of my better finds this year.
Exactly what I was looking for. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. The typesetting is comfortable for study, with good margins for notes.
