12 Magic Wands: The Art of Meeting Life's Challenges

Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Good, with the caveats above.

Was skeptical at first. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Well worth it.

Perfect companion for my morning study sessions. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Shipping was quick too.

Added this to my reference shelf. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Recommended with reservations.

This edition finally does the material justice. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Great value for what you get.

Bolich presents a refreshing, accessible approach to magick that prioritizes psychological utility over theatrical performance. The twelve 'wands' serve as clear mental frameworks rather than mystical artifacts, making the content highly practical for modern life. However, purists expecting complex ritualistic details or traditional ceremonial structures will likely find this work disappointingly simplistic. It is not suited for those seeking the esoteric depth of Golden Dawn traditions or the chaotic intensity of chaos magic. Instead, it functions best as an introductory bridge to self-directed spiritual practice. The tone is encouraging and grounded, avoiding the pitfalls of vague mysticism by focusing on tangible internal shifts. It is a solid resource for beginners who need structure.
