Witchcraft at Salem

First purchase from this shop. You can tell why this work has endured. A text you study rather than simply read. Already eyeing my next order.

Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. Some archaic spellings slow things down.

This has been on my wishlist for months. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point.

While essential for those stocking a comprehensive witchcraft shelf, this volume will disappoint readers looking for a grimoire, practical spells, or modern Wiccan rituals. Because the publisher's provided material is sparse, the text approaches the subject through a dry, historical, and analytical lens rather than an experiential one. It is decidedly not suited for beginners seeking entry-level witchcraft guides, intuitive magic, or spellcraft tutorials. However, for serious occult bibliophiles, esoteric historians, and researchers who appreciate primary-focused studies on trial history and religious hysteria, it provides indispensable historical context. It earns a solid place on our shelves as a serious, sober account of the Salem trials, holding value purely as an academic and historical record.
