Visual Magick: A Manual of Freestyle Shamanism (Revised)

Jan Fries’s revised manual serves as a vital resource for the freestyle shamanic magician, offering a refreshing departure from prescriptive rituals. It successfully champions direct experience and imaginative capacity as the core of esoteric growth. However, practitioners seeking authoritative, step-by-step instructional manuals or those deeply invested in traditional Hermetic orders may find its lack of structure frustrating. This text is not for the dogmatic mage who requires rigid external validation. Instead, it rewards the open-minded explorer willing to embrace ambiguity and personal creativity as legitimate tools for spiritual advancement and visionary development.

Readers who feel constrained by the rigid structures of traditional ceremonial magic will find liberation in this guide. It is ideal for artists, healers, and intuitive practitioners seeking to cultivate their visionary faculties without adhering to strict dogma. Those eager to forge a personalized magical path through direct experience and imaginative engagement will benefit immensely. The book empowers individuals to awaken dormant senses and develop unique esoteric practices, making it perfect for those who value creative expression and self-discovery over rote ritual. It offers a vibrant, accessible entry point for magicians wishing to sculpt their own spiritual journey with freedom and artistic flair.
