Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. It's become a regular reference in my practice.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. It's become a regular reference in my practice. One of my better finds this year.
Been hunting for a decent copy of this text for ages. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. Solid, if not essential.
Arrived faster than expected and well packaged. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. One of my better finds this year.
Took a chance on this and glad I did. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. Glad I finally picked this up.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. Some archaic spellings slow things down.
This exceeded my expectations. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Good, with the caveats above.
This title successfully subverts traditional tarot expectations by prioritizing mindfulness over prediction. The integration of Zen wisdom with accessible contemporary imagery creates a unique, calming experience that resonates with modern spiritual sensibilities. However, it does not suit readers who strictly desire mystical insights into future events or prefer the archetypal complexity of classical decks like the Rider-Waite-Smith system. Those looking for concrete fate-reading may find its focus on the 'here and now' frustratingly ambiguous. Nevertheless, for those willing to let go of predictive control, it offers a refreshing, grounded perspective on self-discovery and emotional clarity through a Zen lens.
