Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Still worth having on the shelf.
First purchase from this shop. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Recommended with reservations.
Took a chance on this and glad I did. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Some archaic spellings slow things down. Still worth having on the shelf.
This exceeded my expectations. Every rereading turns up something I missed. Five stars from me.
