Agyptische Amulette Aus Palastina/Israel II

Herrmann provides a focused archaeological study of Egyptian amulets within specific regional contexts. The text excels in documenting the historical journey and spiritual function of these artifacts for those interested in material evidence of ancient magic. However, it is not suitable for readers seeking practical ritual instructions or beginner-friendly introductions to occultism. The academic tone may alienate hobbyists looking for accessible esoteric guidance. This is a reference work for serious study rather than a guide for immediate magical application.

Needed this for my research. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Solid, if not essential.

Been hunting for a decent copy of this text for ages. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Every rereading turns up something I missed.

Arrived faster than expected and well packaged. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. Deserves a place on any esoteric bookshelf.

Grabbed this during a weekend order. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. Some archaic spellings slow things down. Solid, if not essential.

Been hunting for a decent copy of this text for ages. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Happy enough with the purchase.
