Yggdrasil: Norse Divination Cards stands out with its exceptional artistry and deep reverence for its source material. It masterfully translates complex Norse lore into a navigable divinatory system, making it ideal for those seeking a unique spiritual tool beyond standard Tarot. This deck firmly establishes itself as a significant contribution to esoteric card systems, blending ancient wisdom with contemporary design for sincere seekers.

📝 Description: Yggdrasil: Norse Divination Cards

This eighty-one card deck brings the lore of ancient Nordic myth into a practical divination system. Rooted in the Eddas, the written historical accounts of old northern legends, the cards feature intricate pen and ink drawings that capture the spirit of these stories. The set includes a 216-page guide produced by Llewellyn Publications, offering deep structural context for working with the cards. Artists Haukur Halldórsson and his daughter Gunnhildur Hauksdóttir created the deck together. Halldórsson, a long-time practitioner of Asatru, was one of the early figures who helped revive traditional Icelandic heathendom in the nineteen-seventies, dedicating his career to northern European mythologies and folklore. Hauksdóttir grew up immersed in heathendom, surrounded by folkloric illustrations, nature, and traditional poems. Their shared life inside the Icelandic heathen community gives the set its grounding. This collection suits practitioners of Asatru, deck collectors, and readers interested in Nordic folklore. It does not suit those looking for standard tarot imagery, as it focuses strictly on traditional heathen lore.
