⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Skinner’s meticulous presentation offers a rare glimpse into Renaissance magic, compiling previously inaccessible grimoires into one vital resource. However, this is not a casual introduction to the occult; it is a dense historical compilation aimed at scholars and serious students of esoteric history. Readers seeking quick spells or modern interpretations will find little utility here. The text demands patience for its academic rigor and historical weight. While it fails as an accessible primer for beginners, it succeeds brilliantly as a primary source document for those researching the evolution of magical thought in the early modern period.
