Praise for this book
“I found this a most fascinating and informative book, describing as it does the rationale behind the actual working of the compass, with plenty of practical demonstrations and exercises to enable the reader to experience the compass for themselves...This is a sorely needed book that gets to the heart of the inner workings of the compass and provides a wealth of most valuable material for both the beginner and more…”
“From his own personal training to a deep dive in a variety of historical and occult literature, Ian carefully weaves a pattern showing the many uses, systems, and the deeper ritualist function of the Witches' Compass, otherwise known as the maze or circle.”
“I'm delighted to see a book that studies and explores the use and properties of the compass that is so important to the witchcraft tradition. Chambers has drawn from a wide range of sources including Howard, Cochrane and Chumbley--names I love to see in a bibliography. This is a book that I will refer to often and will be amongst the very well-thumbed editions on my bookshelf.”

⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Chambers presents a compelling argument for the Witch Compass as a vital tool in Traditional Witchcraft, detailing its role as a cosmic map and gateway. The practical advice on crafting a personalized compass is valuable for serious practitioners looking to enhance their divination and spirit work. However, this book may not suit beginners seeking introductory wiccan basics or those who prefer structured, ritualistic paths over the more fluid, traditional witchcraft approach described here. It demands a certain level of prior interest in esoteric cosmology. While informative, readers expecting simple, step-by-step spellwork might find the conceptual depth challenging rather than accessible.
