Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Happy enough with the purchase.
First purchase from this shop. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. A text you study rather than simply read. Shipping was quick too.
This edition finally does the material justice. A text you study rather than simply read. Solid, if not essential.
I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. A text you study rather than simply read. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted.
Tarot Gothica excels as a tool for deep psychological reflection, utilizing stunning gothic aesthetics to illuminate the human psyche. However, it is not suited for readers seeking simple fortune-telling or traditional, optimistic esoteric frameworks. Those who prefer bright, hopeful imagery or rigid structural dogma may find the focus on darkness and obscurity alienating or overly abstract. The deck demands a willingness to engage with internal shadows rather than external predictions. It is best for those comfortable with ambiguity and artistic interpretation. While the guide provides necessary context, the experience remains intensely personal and potentially heavy for casual users seeking light entertainment.
