A friend in my study group recommended this one. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Good, with the caveats above.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. The font runs small in the appendices. Good, with the caveats above.
