Finally got around to ordering this. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. Definitely recommend.
This has been on my wishlist for months. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Happy enough with the purchase.
This exceeded my expectations. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere.
I keep coming back to this one. You can tell why this work has endured. Recommended if you're ready to do the work.
My third book from this store and this one might be the best. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. A keeper.
I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. Still worth having on the shelf.
This volume successfully bridges ancient Scottish folklore with contemporary magickal practice, offering detailed insights into regional tools, plant lore, and rituals. Meiklejohn-Free’s hereditary background lends authenticity to the guides on scrying and ancestor communication. However, it may not suit readers seeking purely academic historical analysis or those uninterested in practical spellwork and faery lore. It is best for those ready to engage actively with Celtic traditions rather than passively observe them. The text balances historical context with actionable spiritual advice, making it a valuable resource for dedicated practitioners.
