Finally got around to ordering this. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. Great value for what you get.
Long-time student of the esoteric here. A text you study rather than simply read. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Good, with the caveats above.
Exactly what I was looking for. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. A keeper.
This has been on my wishlist for months. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Solid, if not essential.
Perfect companion for my morning study sessions. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Solid, if not essential.
Sandra Kynes provides a holistic guide that successfully bridges the gap between simple herb lists and complex esoteric theory. The integration of houseplants and wild flora makes the practice accessible to urban readers, while the seasonal structure offers continuity. However, seasoned witches with decades of traditional folk magic experience may find the content somewhat basic or overly generalized. It lacks the dense historical citations or advanced ceremonial depth expected by academic occultists. This is not for those seeking rigorous academic analysis or high ritualistic complexity. Instead, it serves as a lovely, practical primer for building a sustainable, nature-based spiritual habit, emphasizing connection over intricate dogma.
