Fun Fact

D.J. Conway's 'By Oak, Ash, & Thorn' fills a crucial gap, presenting Celtic shamanism not as a historical footnote but as a living, accessible path. It excels at demystifying European shamanic roots, making them relevant for contemporary seekers without demanding adherence to a specific religion. Those seeking a practical, deep dive into complex historical rituals might find it a starting point rather than an exhaustive guide. However, for anyone curious about integrating ancient Celtic wisdom into a modern spiritual practice, this book is an invaluable and empowering resource in the esoteric landscape.

📝 Description: By Oak, Ash, & Thorn: Modern Celtic Shamanism

Many seekers are interested in shamanism because it is a spiritual path that can be followed in conjunction with any religion or other spiritual belief without conflict. But the Native American and African peoples were not the only cultures to traditionally practice shamanism. For centuries, shamanism was practiced by the Europeans, as well - including the Celts.
