About the author
D.J. Conway is an American author of Wicca, goddess spirituality, and magical-practice books published largely by Llewellyn and Crossing Press, including Dancing with Dragons (2002), The Ancient Art of Faery Magick (2005), Mystical Dragon Magick: Teachings of the Five Inner Rings (2007), and Magick of the Gods and Goddesses: How to Invoke Their Powers (2020). Her dragon-themed titles, beginning with Dancing with Dragons, built out a sustained body of work treating dragons as figures found across world mythologies and as subjects of dedicated magical practice, continuing through later books such as Dragon Magick and Mystical Dragon Magick. The Ancient Art of Faery Magick surveys faery lore across traditions, distinguishing helper, trickster, and other faery types. Magick of the Gods and Goddesses covers magical practices drawn from more than twenty cultures, including ceremonial magic, witchcraft, shamanism, and Qabala. Conway is one of the more prolific authors in Llewellyn's catalogue of accessible Wiccan and pagan reference books.
