Exactly what I was looking for. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. Already eyeing my next order.
Exactly what I was looking for. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. One of my better finds this year.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. Shipping was quick too.
Needed this for my research. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. A keeper.
This has been on my wishlist for months. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. Great value for what you get.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. Not a light read, but far more accessible than I feared. Every rereading turns up something I missed.
Exactly what I was looking for. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Conway delivers a functional formulary that prioritizes usability over dense academic theory. The inclusion of planetary rulers and zodiac alignments provides necessary structure for magical intent, while the recipes remain accessible. However, this book does not suit readers seeking rigorous scientific botanical analysis or those who prefer purely theoretical grimoires devoid of practical application. It is also less appropriate for advanced herbalists looking for novel pharmacological discoveries. Instead, it shines as a bridge between traditional folk practices and contemporary spiritual needs, offering clear guidance rather than obscure mysticism.
