⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
This charming second installment successfully delivers on its promise of whimsical escapades, though it may not suit readers seeking complex plotlines or serious magical systems. The humor relies heavily on slapstick and absurdity, which might feel too juvenile for older middle-grade audiences looking for more sophisticated fantasy. While the blend of fable and fantasy is engaging, the pacing can feel repetitive to those who prefer fast-moving action over character-driven comedy. However, for fans of gentle, character-focused stories with a strong emphasis on friendship and humor, it remains a delightful choice. The inclusion of Helvetica the raven adds necessary wit, balancing Gumluck’s absent-mindedness effectively.
