The Herbal Tarot

My third book from this store and this one might be the best. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Would buy from this store again.

This exceeded my expectations. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Great value for what you get.

Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. Every rereading turns up something I missed. A text you study rather than simply read. The font runs small in the appendices.

This edition finally does the material justice. It's become a regular reference in my practice. Glad I finally picked this up.

Exactly what I was looking for. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Good, with the caveats above.

As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition.

This deck offers a refreshing blend of herbal wisdom and tarot, appealing to those who enjoy nature-based spirituality. However, it does not suit readers seeking purely traditional Rider-Waite interpretations or those uninterested in botanical correspondences. The focus on medicinal herbs may alienate individuals looking for standard astrological or elemental associations without the plant component. While the guide is helpful, the specific niche of herbal medicine might limit its broad appeal compared to more generic divination tools. It is best for enthusiasts of holistic practices rather than casual tarot users.
