This exceeded my expectations. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere.
Exactly what I was looking for. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes.
Long-time student of the esoteric here. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. A keeper.
This edition finally does the material justice. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Happy enough with the purchase.
Lehman delivers a scholarly reconstruction of classical planetary dignity, offering a logical framework often missing from earlier texts. However, casual readers or those seeking quick, intuitive horoscope readings will find little utility here; this is a dense, technical study for serious students. It does not suit those who prefer mystical over analytical approaches to astrology. The text demands patience and a willingness to engage with historical methodology. While it successfully clarifies the reasoning behind celestial authority assignments, its academic tone may alienate beginners. Ultimately, it is a specialized tool for practitioners ready to deepen their technical understanding of classical mechanics.
