Occult literature desk

Carpenter delivers a vivid entry into the undercity, effectively establishing the tension between the Razor and Drops clans. While the premise of infiltrating secretive societies is engaging for fans of magical realism and urban occultism, it may not suit readers seeking high-octane action or traditional fantasy tropes. The focus on political maneuvering and the enigmatic nature of faez crystals demands patience. It is a solid choice for those who enjoy world-building over plot-heavy resolutions, though it might feel slow to audiences preferring immediate gratification and clear-cut magical systems.
