Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Already eyeing my next order.
Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. A text you study rather than simply read. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Grabbed this during a weekend order. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. Shipping was quick too.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Still worth having on the shelf.
Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Good, with the caveats above.
Needed this for my research. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. Highly recommend to serious students.
This exceeded my expectations. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Great value for what you get.
Damien Echols and Lorri Davis offer a refreshing, pragmatic approach to grimoire work by stripping away intimidation. The text successfully demystifies ceremonial magic, presenting it as a flexible toolkit for weaving intention into daily existence rather than a rigid dogma. However, this accessibility may disappoint seasoned practitioners seeking intricate ritual structures or deep historical analysis. It is not suited for those who prefer dense academic theory or exclusive high-magic traditions that demand years of prior study. Instead, it targets the novice or the spiritually curious individual looking for immediate, practical application in their mundane routine to support personal goals and emotional healing.
