Reader rating
Added this to my reference shelf. Every rereading turns up something I missed. It's become a regular reference in my practice. Five stars from me.
My book club chose this last month. A text you study rather than simply read. Highly recommend to serious students.
As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading.
Deida’s provocative collection demands courage, offering no easy comfort for those seeking gentle reassurance. While it successfully shatters illusions about sanitized enlightenment, its intense focus on shadow work may alienate readers who prefer detached or purely positive mentalities. It is not suited for those who wish to avoid confronting taboo aspects of their psyche or who view spirituality as a refuge from life’s gritty realities. However, for the brave soul ready to embrace the entirety of existence, this text provides a powerful, albeit challenging, map toward authentic awakening through the integration of all human experiences.
