📚 WHAT THE BOOK IS ABOUT

This compact 1935 manual channels the alchemical wisdom of the Rosicrucian tradition to teach readers how to harness their subconscious for concrete success. Plummer argues that the subjective mind operates with powers far beyond conscious understanding, acting as a silent architect of our external circumstances. By ceasing to micromanage the process and instead impressing clear desires upon this inner faculty, one can unlock hidden potential. The text serves as both a practical manual for financial and personal achievement and a metaphysical warning: such overwhelming creative force must be wielded with ethical responsibility and pure intent.

Fun Fact

Plummer excels at demystifying esoteric power into actionable steps, making Rosicrucian concepts accessible to the modern seeker. The prose is direct, avoiding the typical florid mysticism for practical clarity. However, readers seeking complex ritual or deep theological debate will find it too simplistic. It remains a vital, compact artifact in the lineage of manifestation literature, offering a unique blend of alchemical heritage and psychological utility.

📝 Description: Consciously Creating Circumstances

When talking to your subjective mind, remember one thing above all. Do not attempt to tell it its own business, which is the means of carrying out your order. It knows far more than you can possibly know. It manipulates forces that you cannot even dream of. -from "Impressing Your Desire" If you can dream it, you can achieve it. That mantra of the modern self-help movement may have seen its earliest expression in this slender little book "full of metaphysical dynamite." First published in 1935, this is a guide to personal and financial success, filtered through the contemporary alchemical philosophy of the Christian mystics order of the Rosicrucians, which decrees that there are hidden natural powers in all of us. But be warned! The author admonishes us that the power you may unleash via this unassuming volume is so overwhelming that it must only be used for good. American businessman and writer DR. GEORGE WINSLOW PLUMMER (1876-1944) founded the Society of Rosicrucians in America in 1909. He also wrote The Art of Rosicrucian Healing, Principle and Practices for Rosicrucians, and The Science of Death.

Occult literature desk

Plummer offers a compact manual that effectively distills Rosicrucian wisdom into usable techniques for harnessing the subconscious. While the core premise is empowering for those willing to trust their subjective mind, the text may frustrate readers seeking deep scholarly analysis or complex metaphysical theory. It is not suitable for skeptics who require empirical evidence for mental phenomena, nor for those unwilling to accept the ethical burden of wielding such creative force. The writing is accessible but repetitive in its insistence on ceasing micromanagement. Ultimately, it succeeds as a practical manual for believers in subjective power but lacks the nuance expected by advanced occultists.

Excellent find

Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. A keeper.

Beautiful edition

Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. Every rereading turns up something I missed. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. A keeper.

Beautiful edition

Arrived faster than expected and well packaged. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today.

Exactly as described

This has been on my wishlist for months. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
