About the author
Hugh Newman is a researcher and writer on ancient sites, megaliths, and earth-based sacred geography, published primarily through the small-format Wooden Books series. Stone Circles: Around the World surveys the construction, shapes, and possible astronomical alignments of stone circles across different cultures, while Earth Grids: The Secret Patterns of Gaia's Sacred Sites addresses theories about ancient global surveying and pole shift connected to prehistoric sites. Geomancy: Earth Grids, Ley Lines, Feng Shui, Divination, Dowsing, & Dragons broadens the scope further, covering dowsing, Feng Shui, and ley-line theory as related traditions concerned with the earth's supposed energy patterns. Newman's books present speculative and alternative-history perspectives on ancient monuments alongside more conventional archaeological questions, aimed at readers interested in megalithic sites and earth mysteries rather than mainstream academic archaeology.
