About the author
Tracy R. Twyman was an American author and researcher who wrote extensively on esoteric history, secret societies and the mythology surrounding the Holy Grail, publishing much of her work under her own name. Baphomet: The Temple Mystery Unveiled (2015) investigates the long-standing question of what the idol allegedly worshipped by the Knights Templar represented and where the figure originated. Clock Shavings recounts an attempt by a group of researchers in Denver, Colorado, to contact a deceased French artist through a Ouija board as part of an investigation into the Ordo Lapsit Exillis and the Holy Grail legend. Twyman's writing sits within the tradition of alternative and conspiratorial history, treating myth, ritual and secret societies as threads of a hidden historical record rather than as folklore, and her books are directed at readers already immersed in that literature.
