Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text.

As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. A few pages arrived with light corner wear, though nothing serious. Solid, if not essential.
My third book from this store and this one might be the best. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. One of my better finds this year.
Needed this for my research. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted.
