Seasonal Folktales: Myths, Magic & Folklore of the North, from Scotland to Scandinavia

Graham’s collection is a visually stunning homage to Northern folklore, effectively capturing the distinct spirit of each season through myth and magic. It serves as an accessible entry point for those curious about Scandinavian and Scottish traditions without requiring prior academic knowledge. However, readers seeking rigorous historical analysis or dense linguistic studies may find the approach too whimsical and lacking in scholarly depth. The focus remains firmly on artistic vision and enchanting narrative rather than critical examination, making it less suitable for hardline folklore academics but perfect for those drawn to its aesthetic and emotional appeal.
