Finally got around to ordering this. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Good, with the caveats above.
This exceeded my expectations. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. Good, with the caveats above.
Andrews provides a clear, methodical approach to spirit contact, making esoteric concepts accessible to the layperson. However, this text does not suit seasoned occultists seeking rigorous ceremonial detail or those skeptical of direct spiritual entity communication. It may also disappoint readers preferring purely psychological interpretations of spirituality over literal ethereal interactions. The focus on practical hygiene and basic tools might feel simplistic to advanced practitioners, though it remains a sturdy foundation for novices navigating the delicate balance between material reality and the spirit world.
