⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Tom Ogden delivers a spooky yet accessible compilation of theatrical hauntings that will delight fans of ghost lore. The collection shines by focusing on diverse spectral residents, from actors to stagehands, creating a rich tapestry of backstage banshees and opera house horrors. However, readers seeking rigorous academic analysis or deep historical documentation may find the tone too light and anecdotal. It is not suited for skeptics who demand empirical proof over atmospheric storytelling. Those looking for dry, scholarly texts on theater history will also be disappointed by the supernatural focus. Nevertheless, as a curated guide to phantom presences in historic venues, it succeeds in its goal of entertaining the imagination with tales where spirits rise as the curtain falls.
