⭐ Reader reviews
Reader rating
Bastien provides a cohesive tapestry of Mount Holly’s haunted heritage, effectively weaving together narratives from its oldest institutions. The prose is accessible and engaging for casual readers interested in local lore. However, this account may not suit those seeking rigorous academic historiography or scientific debunking of paranormal claims; it prioritizes atmospheric storytelling over empirical evidence. Readers expecting complex theoretical frameworks regarding spiritualism might find the narrative too anecdotal. It is best enjoyed as a collection of evocative local legends rather than a scholarly critique. Those who prefer fast-paced thriller plots may also find the reflective, historical tone too slow, but fans of quiet, atmospheric ghost stories will likely appreciate its respectful and immersive approach to regional haunting.
