Brown provides a clear, accessible framework for understanding intuitive gifts without excessive jargon. The mind body spirit approach makes complex concepts manageable for newcomers. However, seasoned occultists seeking rigorous historical analysis or dense theoretical discourse may find the content too simplistic. This is a practical manual rather than an academic study. Readers looking for deep ritualistic detail will likely be disappointed by the broad strokes used to explain psychic phenomena.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Great value for what you get.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. Already eyeing my next order.
A friend in my study group recommended this one. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. Good, with the caveats above.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. A keeper.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. Would buy from this store again.
This edition finally does the material justice. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Deserves a place on any esoteric bookshelf.
This edition finally does the material justice. Every rereading turns up something I missed. Shipping was quick too.
