About the author
Marco Visconti is the author of The Aleister Crowley Manual: Thelemic Magick for Modern Times and its follow-up, Aleister Crowley's Mysticism: A Practical Guide, both published by Watkins Publishing. The books set out to make Crowley's magical system usable in a contemporary context, focusing in the later title on the Holy Guardian Angel experience as a central working within Thelemic practice. Visconti is described in the books as someone who has taught Crowley's magick to a substantial number of students, and the material is presented as a distillation of techniques developed through that teaching rather than as historical or biographical writing about Crowley. The approach is practical throughout, aimed at readers who already have some grounding in Thelema and want direct instruction rather than an introduction to Crowley's life or thought. The books sit within the Thelema section of the catalogue as working manuals for practitioners.
