About the author

Jenny Smedley is a UK-based author published by Hay House whose books center on animals, angels, and everyday spiritual experience. Her own account, given in Dogs and Cats Have Souls Too (2023), describes an early ability to empathize and communicate with animals, and the book collects stories of pets said to heal, protect, and communicate with their owners. The Big Book of Angel Stories (2021) gathers accounts framed around signs, coincidences, and unanswered prayers, positioning Smedley, described by her publisher as a much-loved angel author, as a compiler of other people's experiences as much as her own. A Year With the Angels (2011) is structured as a month-by-month practical guide for readers trying to build a habit of connecting with angels. Across the three books, Smedley writes for an audience already receptive to belief in animal souls and angelic presence, offering accessible, story-driven material rather than academic or theological argument.
