About the author
Chogyal Namkhai Norbu (1938-2018) was a Tibetan Dzogchen master and scholar who taught for decades as a professor of Tibetan and Mongolian language and literature at the University of Naples "L'Orientale," while also founding the Dzogchen Community, an international network of practice centers. The Lamp That Enlightens Narrow Minds, published by North Atlantic Books, recounts the life of the Tibetan master Khyentse Chökyi Wangchug against the backdrop of Tibet in the years before the Chinese invasion. Tibetan Yoga of Movement: The Art and Practice of Yantra Yoga, also from North Atlantic Books, introduces Yantra Yoga, a movement-based practice derived from an eighth-century Tibetan Buddhist text that shares some positions with hatha yoga but differs in its underlying method. Both books draw on Norbu's own training within the Tibetan Buddhist and Bon traditions.
