About the author
Tony Mierzwicki is a practitioner-author writing on the reconstruction of ancient Mediterranean religious traditions for a contemporary polytheist readership. Hellenismos: Practicing Greek Polytheism Today (Llewellyn Publications, 2018) sets out how modern practitioners can build relationships with the ancient Greek gods and recreate historical ritual practice within a present-day framework. Graeco-Egyptian Magick (Megalithica Books) covers the historical blending of Greek and Egyptian mystical practices in the ancient world, examining ritual and philosophical traditions that arose where the two cultures intersected. Both books combine historical research on ancient religion with practical instruction for readers seeking to revive or adapt these traditions as living practice, aimed at readers already engaged with modern polytheist or reconstructionist movements rather than general readers of ancient history.
