About the author
Toko-Pa Turner is a dreamworker and author known for combining dream analysis, myth and depth psychology in her writing. Her book Belonging: Remembering Ourselves Home (Her Own Room Press, 2017) won a Nautilus Book Award and explores the experience of alienation and the search for community and personal wholeness. She followed it with The Dreaming Way: Courting the Wisdom of Dreams (2024), which argues that interpreting dreams does not require an expert mediator and treats dreams as a language readers can learn to read themselves, the way one might find meaning in a story or an image. Turner runs dream-focused teaching programs and has built a following among readers interested in dreamwork as a tool for self-understanding rather than as entertainment or passing curiosity.
