About the author
Susan Sheppard is the author of two divinatory guides catalogued here, A Witch's Runes: How to Make and Use Your Own Magick Stones and The Phoenix Cards: Reading and Interpreting Past-Life Influences with the Phoenix Deck. The first teaches readers to fashion their own rune stones rather than buy a manufactured set, treating the hand-made tool as a more personal channel for divination. The second pairs a 28-card deck, published by Destiny Books, with instructions for using its imagery to explore past-life memory, drawing on symbols meant to represent different world cultures. Both books sit within the tarot and divination and occult philosophy sections of the catalogue and are aimed at practitioners already working with runes, cards, or other hand tools of divination who want a system they can build or interpret themselves rather than one bought ready-made.
