About the author
Robert Sachs is the author of Becoming Buddha, The Passionate Buddha, and Nine Star Ki, spanning Watkins Publishing, Inner Traditions International, and iUniverse. Becoming Buddha frames personal awakening as a matter of individual responsibility with consequences for the wider world, presented as a path rather than a promise of enlightenment. The Passionate Buddha applies Tantric Buddhist teaching to modern relationships, addressing monogamy, contraception, and the connection between physical and emotional intimacy. Nine Star Ki draws on a system combining feng shui and astrology, using a person's birth information to explore behavior, health, and relationships, and carries a cover endorsement from William Tara, author of Macrobiotics and Human Behavior. Across the three books, Sachs works at the intersection of Buddhist philosophy and applied life-guidance practices, aimed at readers looking to connect contemplative teaching to everyday questions about relationships and self-understanding.
